This article reviews and analyzes the ideology developed by Severo Sarduy and Bolívar Echeverría around the baroque and the theory conceived by Johan Huizinga about the game and its importance in human social and cultural occurrences. The essay links this triad of authors in an effort to make a brief reference to a theoretical proposition from which the baroque transcends the scope of art and aesthetics to break fiercely into everyday life, to become a subversive and resistant baroque, a playful baroque that, from art and literature, becomes social criticism and proposes alternatives for another way to live in today's capitalist modernity.
