Incarcerated during the last Brazilian military dictatorship, Waly Salomão began to write his first book, Me Segura qu’eu vou dar um troço (1972), in which he inaugurated procedures that run through his entire writing. In this article we will analyze how he uses humor to establish relations, in order to put in tension the separation between literature and life, opening possibilities for both. Salomão sets limits only to disarm them, driven by the seductive power of his humor. Builds ways of locating himself on the border between a self and others, on the border of any limit, in order not only to surpass, but to dissolve them.
