This work tries to analyze some insistences that we observe in the theoretical-methodological approaches proposed by different investigations about periodical publications. Questions about the type of temporality that they display, and the way in which their study reconfigures or not a history of literature, have been a constant in many of the reflections on the subject. We detail the problems that the question raises about the relation of a magazine with the time in which it is inscribed and that in which it is read from the histories of literature. Following that question, we propose, from the analysis of a corpus of magazines linked to the avant-garde movements of the mid-century in Argentina - surrealism, inventionism and concrete art- an own approach that meets what Jean-Louis Déotte thought as history of what's in between two points of the event.
