The text discusses the importance of independent publishers for the circulation of literary works in Latin America, considering the "independent" category as polysemic and focusing on the multiplication of small publishers in Argentina linked to a specific social movement, in which the crisis of the publishing market added It has led to the economic and political crisis since 2001 and has led to the emergence of independent publishers backed by collective cultural projects whose main focus was the search for solutions to the crisis through strategies of cultural resistance. The paper focuses on the case of the Argentine publisher Final Abierto. With 13 years of existence, the publishing house assumes the task of surpassing the Argentine national border, publishing and circulating fictional and nonfiction productions of authors from different Latin American countries. Thus, it is intended to reflect on the strategies used by the independent publisher for the publication and circulation of the literary works that appear in its catalog, in its performance as a force of cultural resistance in an editorial panorama.
