Argentina Magazine of art and criticism appeared in Buenos Aires between November 1930 and August 1931. It has not had posthumous fortune and today is virtually unknown and undiscoverable. Under the direction of Cordova Iturburu, Argentina sets controversies that mark the transition between the twenties and thirties. Contemporary to Sur, Argentina is a step in the gradual political radicalization of the intellectual field, convulsed by economic and political crisis. In many ways it is the missing link between Martin Fierro (1924-1927) and Contra (1933). Its main contributors are Roberto Arlt, Jorge Luis Borges, Horacio Butler, Leonardo Estarico, Macedonio Fernández, Raúl González Tuñón, Carlos Mastronardi, Nicolás Olivari, María Rosa Oliver, Ulyses Petit de Murat, Emilio Pettoruti, Luis Saslavski, Ricardo M. Setaro y Guillermo de Torre.
