The article analyzes discourses of sexuality that were in vogue during the 60s in Argentina. At the time, the topic of sex was released along with the promotion of female contraception and sex education. The article also seeks to distinguish discourses about sex, with scientific pretension and valorative neutrality, in front of erotic discourses. The examples discussed come mostly from a cutting-edge news magazine, as was Life en Español at the time, transmitter of science and sex education; as well as the magazine Maribel, one of the national women's magazines of the decade, aimed at an audience of fewer economic resources, addressed to the “modern” woman, who published notes on controversial issues relating to sexuality and relationships.
