In the following article we approach Pablo Katchadjian's El Aleph engordado (2012) based on the hypothesis that not only the text but also the methodical artifact that Katchadjian constructs produces more tension than a continuation of the original. In a second instance we will look at the controversy that its publication awakens from the demand initiated by Maria Kodama for defrauding the intellectual property rights, in order to analyze the literary morals that are put in tension. Based on what we call the "Katchadjian affair" we think of two opposing morals: on the one hand, the one that corresponds to the new media environment that postulates a "free culture", and on the other, the one that survives in parallel, emphasizing the legal principle of authorship and the scope of copyright.
