Throughout all her work, the Chicana writer GloriaAnzaldúa question the place of identity and the possibilities of creating new forms of recognition. Her writings have driven the need to form new positions of enunciation, from which fictions and feminist figurations challenge certainties and closed or definitive identities. We need to give space to Anzaldúa’s figurations that reconfigure identity and experience to rethink the political meaning of the name and of identity. Serpientes and nepantleras are two concepts that force a redefinition identity and experiences allowing the emergence of new spaces for action, transformation, and political recognition.
